Interesting places

In 25th August, 2006 the Monument to Home Slippers was set up in Tomsk. There are two bronze slippers which are on a pedestal. Their length is 32 cm this is why they would fit any visitor. As sculptor Oleg Kislitsky says this monument started with an inscription “Feel Yourself At Home”. Then it came up to the sculptor that it should be a monument to home slippers, which are common to anyone here and which are only for the hosts. Now everybody who comes to Tomsk can try these “warm” and “soft” bronze home slippers on and feel comfortable as if at home.
